Fire, Fire!

I'm posting this as I watch the news on TV of my city going up in flames. Every few minutes, we're getting word from people we know that they're being evacuated from their homes. The picture above was taken about six hours ago and since then, it's gotten very dark outside and the smell of smoke has gotten so strong. Please pray for the fire fighters and the families here in Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills in Orange County, California.

Adela ----I'm in Bellflower and the smoke is awful here, I can just imagine how strong the odor is for you------We have ash everywhere, even in our car which is parked in the garage!!---California needs all the prayers she can get-----We have the most courageous firefighters, rescue units and volunteers---They are the best-----A special prayer will be said for you Adela and your family, friends and neighbors.----Barbara

So sorry to hear about the terrible fires in CA. Living in southern Colorado, fires are always a concern, especially at this time of year. I will pray for everyone in that area.

What a spectacular image, Adela! I'm in Riverside and saw the billowing smoke this morning as my hubby and I headed out for some relaxation at our local coffee shop. I'm supposed to head out to my upline's in the Rancho Santa Margarita area tomorrow, but not sure if that's going to happen with the 91 currently closed near the 241. I'm praying for everyone in the Anaheim Hills/Yorba Linda area.

On a happier note, I loved your window gift card holder, and I'm using it as one of my shoebox swaps at our meeting tomorrow! I ended up making a few of them - so fast and easy once you know what to do! If you'd like to check mine out, they're on my blog:

Thank you for your inspiration for such a unique gift card holder!

Thinking about you Adela. We can see the smoke here in Ladera Ranch too. My in laws live in Corona, but luckily the fire is moving away from them. My husband was on stand by, but is out now as Yorba Linda is in his district for work. Please let us know how you're doing.

Keep us informed, and I'll continue watching on news. Love to you friend. (Oh BTW, this is the first time I believe that I was able to leave a message for you).

OMG I remember when this was happening down in San Diego. We were on pins and needles waiting for them to evacuate us, that was in 2003. Then at last years fire, we were actually driving cross country from DC and we were worried about family and friends and our tenants! Thank GOD everyone was safe and did not loose their homes. Be safe!!!
