For Beverly

Early Saturday morning, the mom of one of my daughter's best friends delivered a premature baby boy. One of his complications was that his lungs had not developed completely. The baby did not make it. We have my daughter's friend spend the night at our home because her mom has to stay at the hospital for two more days after her C-section. I can't even imagine going home from the hospital empty handed after giving birth.

Here's a simple card I made for her mom. I guess I wasn't thinking clearly when I made it because I originally wanted only two colors. I cringed when I saw it after taking the picture. I don't know how I ended up with four colors. I decided to post it anyway because I wanted to share the news about the baby and I liked the design of the card, even though I didn't like the colors I chose.

Recipe:
Stamp: Words of Wisdom, Stitched Exotics
Card Stock: Whisper White, Sof tSky, River Rock, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Espresso Adirondack
Acc: Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestone Brads, Photo Corner Punch, Dimensionals, Cuttlebug Folder

Thanks for visiting.

Oh, I will be in prayer for them. Coming home empty handed AND hormonal. Oh, Lord.

I love the card. Don't worry about the colors. I'm sure she won't care. It's lovely.

The card is very pretty and I am sure given the circumstances, very hard to create. I will be praying for that family. I cannot imagine the pain they must be feeling.

Adela I know that 'empty arms' feeling all too well and will keep Dorothy and her family in my prayers. Your card has the perfect saying for her.

It's just beautiful! This card is exactly the way it was meant to be.

My prayers are with your friend. The love of friends like you is what will get her through this.

Adela, this card is truly perfect for this situation. The sentiment is filled with truth that is suited exactly for this sorrow. When we are hurting this deeply, it is good to hear reminders that He is listening, and that our Father already knows our pain. I completely adore your card.
Prayers from me for this family indeed.
