Perfectly Centered Cuttlebugged Window

Last week I bought a box of acetate sheets (transparencies for overhead projectors) to see what fun things I could do with them. The first thing I thought of, besides making acetate cards, was to see if they would work in my Cuttlebug. The result was beautiful, as you can see from the picture above. Now, I've only used it with the smaller folders. I'll have to see how well the larger ones will work with the acetate.

After Cuttlebugging a couple of designs, I thought it would make a great decorative element on a 3x3 note card box. First, I needed to cut out a square on the top cover large enough to show the cuttlebug design. Problem was, my square Nestabilities set is on back order and my 1-3/8" square punch was too small and it couldn't reach the center of the box. BUT, I solved the problem and I wanted to share it with my readers!

I was able to create a perfectly centered square cut-out, larger than my 1-3/8" punch, by using my 1-3/8" punch. If you're interested in how I did it, click here.

This is the finished 3x3 note card box that I made with the Cuttlebugged window. Tomorrow I will make the cards to go inside it.

How clever you are! I looked at how you did it - I never would have thought of that. I love this little box!
